The Suspension of Wait trilogy seeks to take an intimate look at immigration/ emigration, and cross-culturalism in Canada. The trilogy follows our couple (the boatmakers) – one who has immigrated from Italy, the other who has emigrated from a small village in Quebec – through the experience of leaving their home, arriving in a new country / the big city, meeting each other, and forming a life together. Part One of the trilogy, Leaving, explored the reasons someone leaves their country for another, and their small village for the big city.  The process of leaving, the journey, and the immediate arrival.
